Accessibility Statement

Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to https://neuropool.co/ .
This website is run by Neuropool Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

• change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your own stylesheets
• zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
• navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
• navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
• listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

• Our HTML buttons don’t do button things and are actually links.
• The Hubspot forms aren’t as accessible as we’d like
• They are difficult to navigate using just a keyboard
• You might have trouble getting past the CAPTCHA if you have low vision
• On a mobile, you might not notice the telephone number in the footer

Feedback and contact information

If you need information on this website in a different format like accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording or braille:

• email info@neuropool.co

We’ll consider your request and get back to you in 7-10 days.

Reporting accessibility problems with this website

We’re always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find any problems not listed on this page or think we’re not meeting accessibility requirements, contact:

Justine Pocock at justine@whoopee.digital. Please provide a link to the page which you have problems with, the devices you’re using and what you did to find the problem.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Contacting us by phone or visiting us in person

We typically call you on the phone, but sometimes we use Slack and Google Meet. If you need to use other software for your needs, please tell us, we’re happy to move to your needs.

We don’t have an office but if we need to meet in person, we can come to you. COVID-19 restrictions currently prevent us to do so.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Neuropool Ltd is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to HTML buttons being used for links as listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

The icons in the footer don’t have a name. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion WCAG 2.4.4 (Link Purpose (In Context)), WCAG 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).

We plan to resolve this and all the other associated problems with these icons by August 2021. When we publish new content we’ll make sure our use of icons meets accessibility standards.

The HTML buttons should be links. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion WCAG 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) and forces other errors due to the wrong markup being used.

We plan to have this resolved by August 2021. We’ve updated our style guide to explain the difference between a button and a link better.

The footer content appears in the main landmark. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion WCAG 2.4.1 (Bypass Blocks) and 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).

We plan to have this resolved by August 2021.

There is a stray div start tag. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion WCAG 4.1.1: (Parsing).

We plan to have this resolved by August 2021, but currently we don’t know how it got there. It might be this is in the WordPress Theme and a disproportionate burden to resolve.

Disproportionate burden

Hubspot forms are embedded into our site and they are a large part of our accessibility problem, we use Hubspot for our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. We will submit these issues to Hubspot for them to resolve, in the mean time if you cannot use the forms, the email address in the footer is also a good way to contact us.

We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will make another assessment when the supplier contract is up for renewal, likely to be in 6 months.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

The website is small now, so new content, including images, text changes and new pages will be tested for accessibility compliance before they go live. As new features are considered for development, we will include accessibility upfront in the process.
